Minerva College

Minerva Educational & Charitable Trust(Reg) established in 2007 is dedicated itself to impart quality and need based education and skills to the younger generation from various strata including backward classes, women, and inclusive groups. The Governing Council led by the Chairperson strive hard to provide good governance through transparency, ethics and values. The Mangalore Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering (MIFSE), a unit of the Trust, has been a frontrunner in offering safety education to the needy. The Trust is recognized by the National Skill Development Corporation-Skill India, it is also affiliated to Mangalore University, University of Mysore and Bangalore City University mainly train the students safety and other job oriented courses.

MIFSE a certified institution of ISO 9001:2015 since 2010 is emerged as pride centre of learning in 12 centres Viz Bengaluru -Malleshwaram and Banshankari, Udupi, Shimoga, Davangere, Hubli, Belgaum, Hospet, Tumkur and Mysuru in the state of Karnataka. The institute achieves accomplish cent percent placement through its networking and collaboration of industries both in India and overseas.

As a part of diversification in education system, the Trust ventured in to a new college entitled “Minerva College” in 2023. The college, another unit of the Trust came up to focus quality higher professional education strictly under National Educational Policy 2020. . Its Vision is “To carve out the best professionals to cope with the challenges of business in 21 centaury”. The college affiliated to Mangalore University is one and only approved exclusively to offer BBA( Occupational) BCom (Business Analytics) and MBA(HSE) in the jurisdiction of the affiliating university.

The college is developed with good infrastructure and other requisite facilities in Adyar, Mangalore on a Mangalore- Bengaluru National High Way(NH 78). The college is in 4th floor multi storey building constructed as per the standards of 21st century. The building comprises of 12 Classrooms each providing convenient learningspace for 60 students. Further adequate provisions are made to house computer lab with over 60 computers with latest configuration and scanner, printer including all other technical facilities in the campus.

The college accord focus on the programmes relevant especially to meet the challenges of business environment both at the national level and global level. In an endeavor to meet the challenges of mid 21st century, the college offers the Undergraduate programmes strictly as per the curriculum, teaching- learning and also evaluation of the Mangalore University under the National Education Policy 2020. It is a comprehensive policy framework that aims to reform and revitalize the education system in India. It stresses the importance of critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills, and encourages the use of diverse teaching methods, experiential and hands-on learning methods and local resources. The policy emphasizes the importance of a flexible and multidisciplinary curriculum that prepares students for the 21st century. It seeks to pave the way for flexible and lifelong learning and encourages students to choose their academic path leading to the award of a certificate, diploma, and degree. The Multiple Entry and Exit System (MEES) is the cornerstone in higher education.
